Embracing Surrender and Acceptance: A Journey to Inner Peace

As I continue my journey, my focus is on embracing surrender and acceptance—two skills I’ve rarely practiced with conscious intention.

Recently, I’ve faced the painful realization of how the unhealthy patterns of both others and myself can deeply affect those we care about. That pain is beginning to fade, but in its place, I’ve noticed a certain hardness creeping in—a hardness where gentle concern and love are truly needed for healing. Whenever I think of those who choose anger and judgment, I remind myself: the key word is think. There’s no call to action, only reflection.

Again, my focus returns to surrender and acceptance—skills I am now practicing deliberately.

Recently, David Clements shared a beautiful and encouraging message: we are always watched over and cared for. The ability to truly sense this comes through surrender and acceptance. These qualities are nurtured in purposeful quiet—twenty minutes devoted to stillness, both inside and out.

It’s in these quiet moments that we can receive and welcome messages from those guiding us toward our highest good—whether they are Guides, Angels, our Higher Self, or our Soul.

When this practice is paired with a conscious choice to drop judgment and blame from daily life, profound healing follows. Sometimes it brings insights into how healing happens; other times it simply deepens your awareness of the goodness within you.

As that awareness grows, so does a sense of peace and certainty—a knowing that you matter deeply: to the earth, to your family, friends, and all those you encounter.

Each day, the wedges that block surrender and acceptance begin to dissolve. They often appear as fleeting, almost random thoughts. When they arise, understand that whatever they represent is leaving. Simply let it go. There’s no need to analyze it—doing so only prolongs its stay as a barrier to your peace.

The beauty is, after a short time, you may not even remember what the thought was.
Success. Another wedge—formed in another time—has fallen away, no longer standing between you and your peace.

This is the transformative power of surrender and acceptance—a path that heals, uplifts, and allows you to honor the innate goodness within yourself.
